Martin Gardner’s name is well known to mathematicians
and scientists, as well as readers who enjoy puzzles
and games. From 1956 to 1981 he wrote the “Mathematical
Games” column in Scientific American. He has written
more than 70 books, including short stories, novels,
he is still busy writing.
