Granny Gets Wired
Crochet a granny square that sparkles.

Crocheted in fine-gauge wire, the humble granny
square becomes something shiny and elegant. If
you’re already familiar with yarn crochet, give wire a
whirl. With a little practice, you’ll be turning out lovely metallic
granny squares.
You can use them to make jewelry or appliqués for handbags
or hats. Or make a large granny square, add a fabric backing,
and you have the basis for a cool zippered pouch. The possibilities
are endless!
