3. SEW THE OUTSEAMS
3a. With the knitting right-side out,
match the middle 2 stitch markers
(on the cast-on edge) with the 2 ends
of the bind-off edge.
Use an invisible vertical-to-horizontal
graft to seam the cast-on edge to
each selvedge. These seams begin
at the waist, where the bind-off and
cast-on stitches are matched, and
end at the cuffs, where the remaining
stitch markers meet the corner of
the selvedge and cast-on edge.
3b. Every 3 or 4 stitches, graft to
2 rows instead of 1.
3c. Thread 18" of thin elastic or two
35" lengths of yarn through every
other stitch just below the cast-off
edge. Sew the ends of the elastic
together, or tie the lengths of yarn
into a bow.
