Sometimes your regular jacket pockets just won’t do for some of your private, sneaky items you’d rather not have discovered. You can make a secret pocket easily enough for one of your spare jackets. Better yet, make a secret sleeve pocket that provides quick access and is custom made for your personal items, such as a pen, calculator, mini camera, voice recorder, flashlight, animal repellent, or personal alarm.
This project shows how to make a compact pocket for an iPod, from material that matches the jacket color. It’s affixed with velcro stick-ons, allowing for easy removal prior to traveling and for cleaning purposes. Your secret pocket can be any size you desire. Just follow the basic design example given.
