These cards may look expensive, but they’re actually made with ordinary aluminum foil — the kind at your grocery store. Just a few dollars buys you enough foil to make dozens of cards, and the process of embossing is quite addictive and fun.
Your junk drawer is probably loaded with embossing tools — ballpoint pens with no ink left, chopsticks, dull pencils. You can even make imprints with your smaller, plastic crochet hooks and knitting needles. And when you’re done embossing, you can add some color to your work with permanent markers or alcohol inks.
