20TH CENTURY REMIX
I think we are too quick to discard fashion as being
“last season,” which makes us spend way too much on
clothes and accessories! The bag’s shape was inspired
by a clutch, a crochet pattern originally published by
The Spool Cotton Company in 1945.
The motif was based on those in the “Patch-Quilt
Bedspread” from Decorating with Crochet by Anne
Halliday, published by Houghton Mifflin Company in
1975. Both design elements, 30 years apart from each
other, come together 30 years further down the line to
make a fresh, new bag.
